CD13 of Cycle 9 – Ovulation day!?

I seem to be back on track with my temps and this morning I had a little drop in temperature down to 36.03. Plus, I used OPKs this week – I had a negative on Monday but a positive yesterday, yay!

I have never had a positive OPK when I tried them in the past but I have come to the conclusion that I just wasn’t using them properly. I peed at about 18.30 and as the instructions said I allowed it to get to room temperature (nice!), something that I’ve never had the patience for in the past. The control line appeared first, within seconds, and the positive line appeared about a minute later. I am so excited, it might well have been a BFP I was so excited!

The OPK instructions say that ovulation should occur within 24-36 hours of the first positive result, so that combined with the lower temperature today and the EWCM over the past few days means I am 99.9% sure that today is ovulation day :)

I am going to do another OPK this evening; if I get a negative I can assume that the LH surge has passed. And if I get a higher temperature tomrrow it looks like I’ll be on the 2 week wait, arrggh! Bye bye pate and soft cheese and coffee... Bye bye Starflower Oil for now..

It’s also not long until the pelvic ultrasound. Mr.Sian asked me last night if the ultrasound could hurt a potential bean as Monday I will be 5dpo – I’ve done a bit of googling and have concluded that it won’t, as ultrasound doesn’t use radiation. I’ll double-check when I actually go for the scan, but for now I feel quite reassured.

Really, really hoping for a BFP this month!
